About
Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort occupies Fares Island in Baa Atoll, within the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The island combines white-sand beaches, palms and a house reef with contemporary pavilions, beach villas, overwater villas and larger residences. Beach villas offer direct sand access, while overwater accommodation looks out across the lagoon. Guests can explore the house reef through snorkelling and diving, arrange excursions, or visit the water sports centre. On land, the resort offers a spa, fitness centre and tennis court. Seven dining and bar venues provide a range of settings, including Petit Bistro, a dedicated children’s restaurant. AvaniKids and a separate teens club make the resort suitable for family stays as well as couples and groups. The resort arranges daylight seaplane transfers from Malé taking 35–40 minutes each way. An alternative is a 35-minute domestic flight to Dharavandhoo followed by a 30-minute speedboat trip. Guests should contact the resort at least three days before arrival to arrange transfers.
