Charu is an open-flame charcoal grill and listening café in Malé, pairing the smoky craft of live-fire cooking with a relaxed, music-led dining room. Its contemporary Maldivian fusion menu spans breakfast dishes, roasted pumpkin and farumas soups, house-made kofta, chicken and reef-fish skewers, salads and small plates. The restaurant opens from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM Saturday through Thursday and from 2:00 PM to 11:30 PM on Friday; the kitchen closes at 10:30 PM nightly while the coffee bar continues until closing.
