About
Drift Theluveliga Retreat is a small private-island resort on Theluveliga in South Ari Atoll, surrounded by a turquoise lagoon, white-sand beaches and a house reef. Its 30 thatched villas comprise 10 Beach Villas beside the shore and 20 Water Villas on stilts over the lagoon. Natural colours, local handicrafts and traditional Maldivian-inspired design give the accommodation a relaxed island character. The open-air restaurant serves buffet and à la carte meals with an emphasis on fresh seafood and locally sourced ingredients where possible. Guests can also arrange in-villa and private beach dining, while the beachfront bar serves cocktails, light meals and snacks. An overwater spa offers massages, facials and body treatments with views across the lagoon. Snorkelling, diving, water sports and fishing provide ways to explore the surrounding sea. The resort arranges seaplane transfers from Velana International Airport, with a published flight time of about 35 minutes. A third-party public ferry speedboat option via Dhangethi is also advertised; transfers should be booked in advance with the resort.
