Makunudu Island is an intimate island retreat on Makunudhoo in North Malé Atoll, within Kaafu Atoll. Beachfront vegetation, white sand and a clear lagoon surround its Maldivian-style accommodation. The resort offers Beach Bungalows and Deluxe Beach Bungalows, combining rustic island character with modern comforts. Open-air garden shower rooms, air-conditioning, tea and coffee facilities and Wi-Fi are among the bungalow amenities. Ara Iru restaurant serves international cuisine and Maldivian flavours, with buffets, set menus and barbecue dining. Sand Bar offers drinks and ocean views, while private dining can be arranged on the beach, in a bungalow or at other secluded island settings. Aavun Spa provides massages, facials, scrubs and personalised wellness treatments. The house reef is a focus for snorkelling and diving. Makunudu Dive Ocean offers guided diving and PADI courses, while Riyaa Watersports provides windsurfing, catamaran sailing, stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking. Guests can also arrange snorkelling excursions, traditional fishing and a private sunset cruise aboard a restored Maldivian dhoni. Beach cinema and island sports offer further ways to spend time ashore. The resort is reached by an approximately 45-minute speedboat transfer from Velana International Airport. Its small scale and beachfront bungalows make it a setting for unhurried island stays close to the lagoon.
