Niva Velassaru Maldives is an island resort on Velassaru in South Malé Atoll, within Kaafu Atoll. White-sand beaches, a turquoise lagoon and a coral house reef surround its beach villas, water bungalows and overwater villas. Accommodation includes private-pool options, two-bedroom deluxe villas and a water suite with direct lagoon access. Five dining venues and two bars offer varied settings around the island, from beachfront dining at Sand to Japanese dishes at the overwater Sora restaurant and sunset drinks at Chill Bar. Guests can also arrange private dining or use in-villa dining. LIME Wellbeing has ten overwater treatment rooms, a hydro pool, a steam room and relaxation spaces. A fitness centre, tennis court, Pilates and barre studio, and sunset beach yoga provide ways to stay active. The infinity pool overlooks the beach and ocean. The resort’s PADI-certified dive school offers courses and underwater excursions, while the water sports centre provides kayaking, paddleboarding and other lagoon activities. Guided snorkelling, marine biology presentations, sunset cruises and renewal-of-vows experiences are among the island’s guest offerings. The resort arranges shared speedboat transfers from Velana International Airport, with a published journey time of approximately 25 minutes. Private transfers can also be requested.
