Sandies Bathala is an all-inclusive island resort on Bathala in North Ari Atoll, on the eastern side of the atoll near its outer barrier. Its surrounding waters and house reef make the island a base for snorkeling and diving, with the Werner Lau Diving Center available at the resort. Accommodation comprises 46 Beach Bungalows and 24 Water Villas. The beach bungalows face the lagoon and have private deck verandas with direct beach access, air conditioning and open-air showers. The water villas stand on stilts over the lagoon, with private terraces and climate-controlled interiors. Meals are served at the Island Gallery Restaurant, while the Island Bar offers drinks and a place to relax. Guest facilities include the MVUA Spa, a gym, kayaks and a games room. Activities include house-reef snorkeling, diving, boat snorkeling and island-hopping excursions; some excursions carry an additional charge. The resort arranges seaplane transfers from Malé International Airport, with a published flight time of approximately 15 minutes. Guests should arrange their transfer before departure.
