Six Senses Laamu is an island retreat on Olhuveli in Laamu Atoll, in the southern Maldives. Palm-fringed shores, a turquoise lagoon and the surrounding marine environment provide a setting for beach days and exploring the ocean. The resort combines beachfront villas nestled among tropical vegetation with overwater villas, using natural materials and designs that emphasise space and privacy. Private-pool accommodation is also available. Restaurants serve East-West cuisine, with opportunities for private dining experiences such as a lobster barbecue on the beach. Guests can enjoy spa and wellness experiences, learn to surf with Tropicsurf, or explore the surrounding waters through diving and snorkelling. Sunset dolphin cruises offer another way to experience the atoll. The Maldives Underwater Initiative is based at the resort and works with marine-conservation partners on research, guest education and community outreach. The house reef and nearby coral gardens bring the underwater environment close to the island. The resort arranges a direct seaplane transfer from Velana International Airport, described as a 65-minute flight. Seaplanes operate during daylight. Domestic-flight and speedboat transfers can be arranged on request when international travel timings do not fit the seaplane service.
